Building a new website (coolbeanscoffee.org) is just one of the tasks Alexis Cash 15 completed this summer while serving as a management intern at Cool Beans, a coffee shop in Lexington, Va. The business major said the experience, which also included scheduling, daily oversight of the shop and assisting with financial tasks, fit perfectly with her desire to one day run her own business. Being a manager is no easy task, Alexis said. There is no room for breaks, and you must be present or on call at all times.
