Building fence with the boys this morning and I realize that Tanner is sitting very still and quiet (always a cause for concern as a mom of an 8 year old boy) then I realize he is talking softly to something in his coat. He found a swallows egg that blew down in the storm and he was trying to keep it warm and telling it he would find its mom. So fence building project abandoned we build a new nest and put it where the momma bird could find it. He knows it is probably already dead but everything deserves a chance--I just love that tender hearted little dude!
