Bula vina’a everybody and all, wairikians, friends, supporters, fans, etc etc… There’s only a few days left before people from all over begin their journey to Wairiki, Taveuni for our much anticipated 150th anniversary of the faith & reunion and soli of exscholars and friends. Western and Central Eastern leaves on Friday and some on Monday. NZ ex scholars are on their way, and many more. I wish to bring to your attention some important points before you pack and leave for Taveuni: 1. The program runs for 8 days, and 9 if you attending the Naselesele Catholic Church inauguration and blessing. 2. Everyday there is morning prayers, Mass, evening prayers, adoration,confession etc. Some prayers will be done in the rooms and dorms. And some are done together. Region leaders please make arrangements to bring your “vola ni masu”, “vola ni sere”, rosaries, Bibles etc. 3. On Tuesday 19th there will be Mass and stations of the Cross from somosomo to wairiki, reps from each regions may be requested to preside at each stations. 4. Prepare proper Mass attire for 8 days consecutively. This is ALWAYS the high point of our catholic gatherings and it should be given the utmost respect. 5. There will be tons of “mekes” and entertainments, regions are reminded to bring some “vicipuru”. Wairiki has been labouring very hard so that the celebration could be a memorable and humbling one, lets acknowledge it, they deserve it… 6. The soli and reunion of ex-scholars and friends is on Thursday 21st. It will be in regions and classes od decades: 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s. Our biggest supporters FOHC Friends of Holy Cross will be closing the soli. They are in full force, inspiring for us all… 7. Friday 22nd is our sports and fun day. Please bring sports attire… 8. The 150th Mass on Saturday 23rd will be the climax of the celebration. We have all been ask to come in white, and black sulus, IF YOU CAN… 9. Most importantly, lets make sure that we participate in all programs and partake in the daily Masses and prayers that our gathering will be meaningful…, MAY THE LIGHT OF CHRIST BE OUR GUIDE ALWAYS… SA LOLOMA YANI…
