Bull rings out early Masters warning The largest Masters field to date saw 60 players battle it out at the DTC on a day that had so many quality games to single out one would be an injustice to the rest. A whos who of Bucks, Beds,Herts,Oxon, Northants,London & even Hants finest slugged out an afternoon and early evening darts fest that in the end saw 2 previous Masters winners Adam Bull & Sean Ross the last 2 standing with Bull the man from Olney eventually claiming a deserved win & further enhancing his reputation as a growing force in the game He had come through a tough set of matches on route defeating Damian Fyffe in a topsy turvey semi after wins against Simon Smith , Joe Croft, John Fowler & Luke Bigland. Ross who had ended the hopes of Grant Taylor in the semis & Terry Davis in the quarters yet again proved what a serious threat he has now become at any event he plays in & come Xmas will be a contender for this years overall crown. Elsewhere Aiden Omahoney one of the days star performers who was eventually to fall to Fyffe in a 9 leg quarter final had ended the hopes of Billy Holmes in the last 16 aswell as the dangerous Simon Michael Key who in turn had defeated Liam Fox in the last 64. Another 2 of the fancied players Rob Wigg & Andreas Dre Hajimina had battled it out in a last 32 showdown with Wigg emerging the winner before becoming another victim to Fyffe. Jamie Wilkins bowed out in the last 16 to a resurgent Tom Anderson & their were stand out performances from Gary Webb, Adam Mould & Wayne Stubbins. Gary Brown,Adam, Drey, Liam, Jack Lucas,Mark Mark Boardman, Wayne Morgan, Martin Biggs, Rob Wigg, Wayne Stubbins, Jamie Wilkins & John Fowler were all group winners on the day so have got good early points on the board.
