Buluan district hospital beneficiary of P1.5-M ultrasound machine BULUAN, Maguindanao, Aug. 22 (PNA) -- The Buluan District Hospital (BDH) here got a surprise contribution from Governor Esmael Mangudadatu when the latter handed over a P1.5-million ultrasound machine to its medical staff. Mangudadatu was the special guest of honor to the hospital’s 38th founding anniversary Thursday when he called on BDH chief Dr. Elizabeth Samama after his speech to accept the machine. “This gestures my utmost support to the operation of BDH for the health welfare of Buluan constituents and its nearby municipalities,” the governor said. Apart from Buluan, the BDH also serves constituents in the municipalities of Datu Paglas, Pandag, Datu Abdullah Sangki, Ampatuan and Gen. S.K. Pendatun, among others. Currently operating as a 25-bed capacity hospital, plans are underway to develop the BDH into a 100-bed facility to accommodate its growing number of patients. From a hospital generating only some P30,000 monthly revenue in 2009, the BDH grew and currently earns P13-million annually through the support of the provincial government and Integrated Provincial Health Office – Maguindanao.
