Buongiorno from Venezia! I am feeling happy that I was able to see George Clooney in the flesh for the last time as a single man before he delved into a life of marriage with another woman...darn! We crossed paths on the Grand Canal here in Venice...he in his private water taxi, me on a public ferry...such is life. We were on a very full ferry on the Grand Canal heading to our hotel from the train station, what do we see heading towards us, a convoy of private water taxis filled with men all dressed in suits chaperoned by water police in hot pursuit were the paparazzo...we were thinking local VIPs, no big deal, but as they came closer the people on the ferry and other water taxis around us started screaming hysterically, between the gaps of people we glimpsed a view of non other than Mr Clooney himself waving to the crowds, soaking up all the attention. OMG is all I could say...fate had us cross paths...I was meant to be here in Venice, a long, long way from home just so I could see this dashing somewhat aged but still handsome man in the flesh. I just wish I had a premonition so I could have been on the other side of the ferry, camera in hand, on the ready...not to be...oh well...instead I was falling all over our luggage trying to see the man that has been wooing women for many years, since ER...remember that show. Well, ladies Mr ER is now a married man, so hands off!
