Burning along the trail they leave Tears stream down my face You can see where they have been The canyons can be traced Deep and wide they have carved A path so frequently taken As life has been full of surprises And my very soul has been shaken They say God collects each tear That has escaped in loss and pain He must have huge hands To have collected all that rain Lying here I cry out to Him God I need Your peace I feel His arms around me And more tears are released Im so weary Lord, I need Your rest To come and keep me still Keep my mind from running wild So I can focus on Your will Attacks have come from every side The fiery darts are coming near Ive stood so long my knees are weak I need You to come nearer To hold me up in this place This ground You gave to me Help me to stand here and defend Your very right to be I welcomed You with open arms Into my family and my home But sin has been brought in And I cannot stand against it alone God stand for me and give me strength To stand as long as it takes To see Your goodness win And see You work through our mistakes I know You want good things for us I know Your Word is true I just need strength to stand here Long enough to see us through Take this mess and do Your work Lord turn it all around Give us a strong message Lord Of how Your love abounds And Ill carry it with me daily And Ill share with all wholl hear With passion and with urgency In every thankful tear --Catina
