Bush Cricket with a Mite As I was taking the 80 photo stack (of the female Cricket) I noticed changes in the photos ... its a tiny (dust?) mite ... crawling inside the base of the Crickets right antenna (circled) ... you can actually see where its been eating ... the mite must be absolutely minature ... you cannot see them very well (if at all) with the naked eye ... even the Crickets eye is quite small (approx 1mm diameter) ... If it is a dust mite then a typical mite measures 0.25–0.3 millimetres (0.010–0.012 in) in length, which would agree to my approx measurment scale Filmed with the same setup as per stacking: LOMO Objective lens 3.7x 0.11 Extension Rings #1+2+3 Canon 550D (in HD video mode)
