Business leaders in Burton say they’re concerned some of the town’s pub firms could cut jobs after MPs voted to get rid of a rule forcing thousands of pub landlords to only buy stock from their parent company. Critics of the ‘tied pub’ system, included Camra, say the move will help cut costs for tenants in charge of 20,800 of Britain’s 48,000 pubs.
