Busy day today moving around and sorting out. Thanks to Claire our lovely volunteer for coming cleaning, weighing and feeding so I could do my other chores. Blue and Yellow are both well into the 500grams and both have moved together into an outside enclosure. Ash needs another 3 weeks of treatment for her roundworm burden so has also moved into an outside enclosure. Green now has a huge cage to himself so the next task is to deep clean that cage and move Hans and Harald in giving Green a small cage and creating an empty cage for the next little sick pickle. Tomorrow while in deep cleaning mode I must also deep clean the hutches that Bramble, Truffle and Ash were in. Milo is losing weight again, that little man has been very troublesome for me, I will microscope his poo tomorrow and see if I can find out whats going on! Berty didnt start his fluke medication today however he gained 4 grams in the night lets see what tomorrow brings for Berty! Twiggy may find herself in an outside enclosure tomorrow as well. Iolaus is well and gaining nicely, I will sample his poo in a few days and if all clear he will just need to be monitored and fed until the spring. Mr Want started his next round of lungworm medication today as did Hope, both these greedy hogs are continuing to thrive. Hans and Harald have a familiar aroma about them which is similar to sick hogs coming in with an internal parasite burden however their samples keep coming back clear, I will keep checking as parasites are not shed in every sample, I even sent a sample to those lovely volunteers at vale wildlife for a second opinion. Green is the smallest of his siblings therefore I am hoping that by giving him a cage to himself he will gain weight a bit easier and catch up, he is 150grams behind!
