But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, Be of good cheer, I AM! Do not fear, And Peter answered Him and said, LORD, if it is You, tell me to come to You on the water. And He said, Come. And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But seeing that the wind was strong, he was afraid. And beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me! And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him; and said to him, Little-faith! Why did you doubt? Matt 14:27--31 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:15--17 I love Peter the disciple not because he is my namesake but because of daring courage, he is the only disciple who stood with Jesus till the last minute even trying to use his own strength to protect Jesus by the power of the knife (John 18:10). In this scenario He uses courage to do something no other man has ever done walking on the water, but before that He had to confirm something, that if it was in the will of Jesus to let Him do that. Though he walked a few steps and started to sink due to losing his focus, he did an extraordinary thing. Life is full of storms all around us and Jesus is the there walking in the storm. But the confusion of the world has caused us not to recognise him. And all we need is to walk carefully in and in wise manner, looking out to know his will (Ephesians 5:16--17). His will is we be of good courage and move out of the boat and into storm with faith and without doubting. But fiist of all you must know whether its Jesus you are walking Jesus or the enemy for he is also out there in storm disguised as the angel of light (2 cor 11:14). Once you choose to walk towards God in the storm, fix your eyes upon Him and what He holds and walk without doubt lest you start sinking (col 3:2, James 1:6,) and walk without fear just believing (Mark 5:36) Your boat of life might be rocking in the storms, walk to Jesus in faith and He will come closer to you and get into your boat and when He is there the sea shall be calm again. are you willing to trust Jesus and walk in the storm? Have a God focused sunday!!!!!
