Buying Specialist Job Description The Role: The successful candidate will be required to manage the procurement process for buying and conduct proactive expediting of orders to ensure on-time delivery with a focus on "Just in time" principle. Key Responsibilities: Receive specification from the business unit and check with Sourcing Specialist to find appropriate suppliers and execute within approved Procure-to-pay RFQ process Identify savings opportunities through the selection of the best quotes in RFQ process and through supplier negotiation Educate Business on procurement policy, processes, systems and governance Review, update and approve catalogue and non-catalogue shopping carts on EBP (Enterprise Buyer Professional) Provide Demand Planning & Consumption Analysis on a monthly basis to business to make informed decisions Promote the use of available sourcing processes and channels, e.g. SAP SRM, EBP and Sourcing/Category team Required Skills or Experience A university degree in Business or a professional qualification (CIPS) or working towards CIPS 3 - 5 years practical experience in purchasing environment, ideally within the financial service sector SAP Knowledge essential Skills & Abilities: Problem solving and resolution skills Strong analytical and research skills Ability to manage client relationships Innovative, proactive and exercise a sense of urgency in all assignments Professionalism, positive attitude and enthusiasm Ability to work under pressure Highly service orientated Strong conflict management skills Strong sense of accountability How To Apply Interested persons may e-mail their application letter and current Curriculum Vitae (CV) to: [email protected] Last day for submission of application: 02 Jul, 2013
