By Candlelight When I think of you from what I know now and what I need to learn Buried deep into my thoughts of how my soul was touched, and how my heart began to yearn To completely give ones own heart selfless without any reservation or restrictions These are a few of the reasons that we stand up to our integrity and to our convictions Going beyond my body and reaching out to get a glimpse of your heart and soul As memories keep touching my spirit and its finally taken its own toll As visions keep dancing around of souls colliding and our hearts wanting to be free As I took another step into the darkness, as you stole a piece of my heart away from me By candlelight, you have seen beyond the beauty and saw a woman of wants and desires As I looked deep into your heart, I see a man who has put a spark into her fires Her fires were enraged with uncontrollable anguish and lust throughout the night Remembering those nights of just listening to you and watching you by the candlelight Thinking to myself how your smile is a sign of hope that I havent seen in such a long time As my thoughts come back to you, as our souls danced freely and then begin to intertwine I have surrendered my heart for safe keeping instead of passion and control In the candlelight, you have touched my existence and even cared for my soul You held it tightly and surrounded it with warmth and compassion Showing me a kinder side of respect, honor, and a little bit of you who is ole fashioned A true friend who has given me anything and everything, with all he has to give Looking out into the darkness, and learning now how he has to live Taking another step closer and then taking a glimpse into my heart and soul and what do you see?
