By Grace Kini A most wanted criminal was shot dead in Popondetta town over the weekend. The deceased escaped from police and CS custody several times and was on the run. He was wanted for rape and murder. He was taken to the Popondetta General Hospital but lost his life early yesterday morning. Provincial Police Commander Jacob Singura commended his tactical response unit for pursuing the wanted criminal. Mean while several traffic road blocks were set up and a lot of unregistered vehicles were confiscated. He added that Christmas Day and Boxing Day were however celebrated peacefully with no major incidents. #NEWSTEAM
