By a tight score of 271-322, the Dolphins suffered their first defeat of the season. With only a one-point difference early on, our hopes were high, but we just didn’t have the depth to hang on. The weather was very threatening during the day, but we got a reprieve and got an on-time start. Added bonus: finished the meet before 9PM! We kept our power score up, too: Dolphins 4.10 points per swimmer Barracudas 2.45 points per swimmer. We had no team records set, but we had FOUR top-five finishes: Alexis Minnick 11-12 50 backstroke and 11-12 100 IM Tony Fornadel 8&U 25 freestyle Greg Guntharp 15-18 50 breaststroke. There were SIXTY-FIVE personal best times recorded by FORTY-TWO swimmers! Great effort on a chilly evening! Our coaches keep bringing it... getting the most out of our swimmers by very skilled training and by motivating them to do their best. Thanks to all of our fine coaches! As always, we couldn’t do it without our parent volunteers. From KAREN FOLSOM not believing the Weather Channel to the timers and table workers and computer people and runners and set-up people and take-down people and everybody. A huge thank you!
