By celebration of ignorance he is talking about everything from the JackAss movies to the Duck Dynasty show on A&E. Or in politics people like Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachmann. The question remains. When are we going to stop making being stupid popular? People like Jonny Knoxville and the Robertsons of Duck Dynasty may very well hold a high degree of intelligence. After all, their stupid act allows them to laugh all the way to the bank. When it comes to political power being given to someone who actually is stupid the people aways suffer. When the people, both fans and supporters take being stupid serious they never gain by emulating the behavior. At best they just end up looking stupid. Of course in the case of JackAss they could end up in the hospital or dead. Unfortunately in the case of politics, everyone even those who do not support the stupidity, suffer. The point is, stupid should never be the role model. So why is it so popular? Are we bent on self-destruction?
