It might be mysterious, but definitely not interesting.” Sherlock turned round to face Watson, shocked. “Mr. Watson-“ “That’s Doctor Watson, if you don’t mind.” Now Sherlock rolled his eyes. “Ok then, Doctor Watson. I believe it is most interesting. The police, inquiring if I can help them with an everyday, ordinary thief? No. It’s most definitely interesting.” “To you, maybe, but not to me. I don’t know why you’re showing so much enthusiasm about this, Sherlock.” “Why, Watson old chap, don’t you know me any better than that?” “I thought I knew you well enough to know that you’re not interested in small little cases like this!” Watson received a mysterious grin from Holmes. “What?” Watson exclaimed. “You think it has something to do with the pink eye victims?” “Maybe. Maybe not.” Holmes lost the grin for a wavering moment, and Watson would’ve said he saw something in his face, if it hadn’t been such an inconceivable look for Sherlock Holmes. Was it fear? Or doubt? Or maybe a mixture of both? But then the look passed, and Sherlock was his normal self. “Watson?” “Hm?” “Check my calendar!” “What for?” “I need to make sure there’s time in the schedule to go to Scotland!” “Scotland?!” “Yes, Scotland.” “Whatever for?” “The police have found family of the thief.
