By this point I have been around for 23 years and during that time catalogued a great number of smells, good and bad, for reference when considering future smells. Because of this I felt it unlikely that I would come across a stench that I was unable to handle in the future. Then I smelt my bag yesterday morning. An odour so unique and overwhelming in its pungence, I at once wanted to hurl and ponder. Was it mere rain that brought about this monstrosity? An inability to wash my clothes for a considerable time? The chocolate donuts that had died somewhere in the depths the day before? Would I be able to throw up unnoticed in this Spaniards garden? These were all questions I couldnt ignore. I have experienced much that was new in the months since I left Edinburgh, but this entirely novel pong might just top the list.
