"[C]limate change, social injustice, war & peace, & corruption—are all wicked problems. Such problems are impossible or difficult to solve because, among others, they are multifaceted & linked with a system of other problems that have to be solved simultaneously. Thus, dealing with one source of climate change is not enough as all sources of greenhouse gas emissions must be responded to. Agrarian reform is not sufficient unless the farmers who are supposed to benefit from them are retooled so that they can take advantage of their newly owned assets. Having an agreement with the MILF will not by itself result in peace in Mindanao. And yes, even if senators & congressmen were jailed, corruption would not stop until we eliminate all forms of pork barrel as well as overhaul our civil service & political system."
