CALL FOR ART PROSPECTUS Black, White, and 50 Shades of Gray XIV Exhibit… Dream Weaver Exhibition dates: February 6 to March 20, 2014 Where: 2nd Floor Gallery, The 2nd Floor Gallery is located on the first floor of the Arts & Communication Center, Grayson College, 6101 Grayson, Drive, Denison, Texas. “Black, White, and 50 Shades of Gray XIV Exhibit… Dream Weaver” is an exhibition featuring original works executed in black, white, and shades of gray. This year’s show has a new twist to the black, white, and gray format which is the theme of Dream Weaver. A dream weaver may be the artist, person, entity, creature or thing that creates, tells, recounts, narrates, builds, relates, makes up, constructs, invents, fabricates, puts together, or combines elements or details into a connected whole. The imagery may take the form of a trance, daydream, nightmare, fantasy, vision, hypnotic state, or reverie. The exhibition is open to all area artists including art students at GC and other colleges and universities; and high school art students in their junior and senior year. Work in any media is eligible. No color is allowed, including matting & framing. Artists are limited to three (3) entries. Flat work must be suitably framed, wired and ready to hang. The College reserves the right to reject any work that is deemed unsuitable for the exhibition or does not adhere to the theme of the show. All reasonable care will be given to artwork while in the custody of GC. Works are submitted at the artist’s risk. Grayson College and the art department cannot assume responsibility for damage or loss incurred before, during, or after the exhibition. Delivery of Artwork: Monday, February 3. All work will be accepted between 3pm to 5pm or by arrangement. Pick-up of Artwork: Friday, March 21, between 3pm and 5pm or by arrangement. Gallery Hours Monday–Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm or by Appointment. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
