CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS! We are on the lookout for participants for a brand new laboratory initiative conceptualised by The Necessary Stage (TNS)! Led by The Necessary Stage’s Founder and Artistic Director, Alvin Tan, this is an experimental platform for the exploration of new modes of collaboration. The laboratory features intercultural and interdisciplinary jamming sessions, testing the boundaries of themes and performance styles. It aims to create qualitatively expressive and challenging works through intensive workshops. Selected elements of each laboratory workshop may be presented as a public performance in the form of a showcase or TNS’ Main Season production. Each laboratory cycle will consist of at least 5 sessions of 8 hours each. The workshop schedule has yet to be determined, and will be conducted at The Necessary Stage’s Black Box. Selected participants will be paid an honorarium at the end of each cycle. Auditions Date: Saturday 3rd May 2014 Time: 2pm to 8pm Venue: The Necessary Stage Black Box To prepare: One short monologue Attire: Be comfortably attired for movement Each audition will be conducted in groups and will last for approximately 30 minutes. Your reporting time for the audition will be issued to you upon receipt of your registration.
