CALLING FOR SUBMISSIONS Project Title: 100 Powerful Photographs Across the Globe Description: A photography chapbook featuring powerful photographs from around the globe. Deadline of Submission: June 30, 2014, or until the 100 slots is filled, whichever comes first. Expected date of Publication Online: July 30, 2014 How to participate: Send your (1) powerful photograph for consideration in “100 Powerful Photographs Across the Globe” through private message at facebook/MelvinBaetPhotography. Include a title, a short narrative (all about your photo), and a short biography (100 words or less). Also indicate your country of origin (since it will be written below your name) and your website/page/blog/online portfolio. There is no specific theme, except that your photograph should be powerful. Powerful photograph, for the purpose of this project, is defined as having the ability to evoke an emotion from the viewers because of its inherent story/characteristics. You can also google powerful photographs for reference. Photographs submitted should be at 300 dpi and, for the sake of uniformity (and size considerations), must be ‘exactly’ 1600px on the longest side. No borders and watermarks. Not abiding on these basic rules will be grounds for non-inclusion in the project. The photographer, upon submitting the photograph to this project, hereby agrees that: 1.) The sole purpose of this chapbook is to create a compendium of powerful photographs from around the world for photography enthusiasts to see and appreciate, for free. 2.) All rights on the photographs submitted remains with the respective photographer. 3.) The photograph submitted will not be used for any other purpose, except to be included in the chapbook, should it be selected. 4.) All electronic copy of submitted photographs will be deleted from the editor’s archive as soon as the chapbook is published. All photographers should therefore keep a copy of their photographs as the editor is not responsible to keep in archive each photograph for any other purpose. 5.) There WILL BE NO COMPENSATION of any kind for those who will be included in the chapbook, as the chapbook will be made available “online for free”. 6.) The editors, will not assume any liability, legal or not, for any circumstances arising from this project. 7.) Each photographer can only submit one photograph. So please send only quality, powerful photograph. 8.) All photographers considered for inclusion in the chapbook will be notified within a week after submission. Non-notification within a period of one week means non-acceptance. After this time, the photographer can send again another photograph for consideration. 9.)
