CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General Gregorio Pio P Catapang Jr visited troops in Jolo, Sulu yesterday, October 12, along with members of the Joint Staff. General Catapang personally checked the status of military preparations and troop realignment. He also wanted to see the condition of military units in Sulu and to ensure that their welfare is being taken care of. He was accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) for Intelligence MGen Virgilio A Hernandez, DCS for Operations BGen Angelito M De Leon, DCS for Civil Military Operations MGen Lysander A Suerte, and AFP Spokesperson MGen Domingo J Tutaan Jr. Present also is LtGen Rustico O Guerrero, Commander of Western Mindanao Command, and his staff.
