CAN WE AFFORD TO ENTRUST OUR NATIONAL CAKE IN THE HANDS OF THOSE - TopicsExpress

CAN WE AFFORD TO ENTRUST OUR NATIONAL CAKE IN THE HANDS OF THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN SACKED BEFORE FOR SERIOUS CORRUPTION? One good example of this are two prominent personalities we know so well sacked from Catholic Relief Services CRS for massive corruption but have both played key roles in the late Kabbah SLPP and Koromas APC governments. No soul of Adam and Eve had ever dared to ask this question in Sierra Leone. Two Musketeers or cow boys ( Kanja Sesay SLPP and Alie B Forna APC) are both good examples of this discussion. Both men who worked for Catholic Relief Services were sacked from that reputable organization for draining up the resources they both squandered. After they were sacked, and given their already gained knowledge of organizational circles they formed the Association For Rural Development ARD. Both men connected very well in the past SLPP and current APC governments and directly to the presidents (late Kabbah and current Koroma). I remembered Kanja heading SLANGO (the organization responsible for coordinating all other NGOs and also all international donors) during Kabbah. He later became a government minister and also headed the National Commission for Social Action NACSA. Alie B Forna under APC is nicknamed the shadow president because of his old school days friendship with EBK and how it is him who behind the curtains influence government policies to his own advantage. He was not given ministerial position but he heads NACSA and now the head of the Pharmaceutical Board. He is known to have blocked a lot of other Sierra Leoneans from achieving their own dreams and there are heaps of examples that have come to my Facebook desk. Both Alie and Kanja continue to use their weight ducking hands in our national development cake to beef up their ARD and also influence government in the wrong direction. BUT LET ME LEAVE IT HERE FOR NOW AS THESE TWO MEN WILL BE SERIOUSLY GRILLED BY ME NEXT YEAR to tease the Sierra Leonean conscience about our real understanding of what corruption is when it is right just next door or right across our faces we are not even conscious about. If I was sacked by CENTACARE CAIRNS when I worked there before I could never have got a job in Queensland government. My question is can we continue to allow people who have gone in the black books handle our national development cake?
