CARLING BLACK LABEL CUP VV reveals derby plan: Despite being highly motivated ahead of their meeting with Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday afternoon, Bucs coach Vladimir Vermezovic says his charges will have to stay focused if they are to get a positive result against their rivals. Vermezovic who is content with his charges preparations for the Soweto Derby at the Calabash, insisted yesterday that wining the Nedbank Cup last season “was good for us, because we have the right momentum.” The Serb National also explained that although Saturday’s match will serve as preparation for his side ahead of the beginning of the season in August, “we must be at our best and show the right attitude against Chiefs.” “It is a difficult match to play; the derby is a big match for all of us. We are preparing well and what I like is that we come into this match very confident. I think everyone will see a Pirates team ready to play good football and fight hard for a positive result; that is for sure.” Meanwhile Captain Lucky Lekgwathi has called on the club’s faithfuls to galvanise themselves and help the team win Saturday’s match. “We want to do it for our supporters; in the derby you cannot say you are not sure if you are going to win because this time around no team can play for a draw in the Black Label Cup; so we are preparing very well to get the Cup back in the team,,” said Lekgwathi. Bucs and Chiefs will play in the fourth instalment of the Carling Black Label Cup. The Buccaneers won the first two instalments, while Chiefs won only once. This match is scheduled for 15.00 at (the Calabash) FNB Stadium. #Shapaaaaaaaaaaa
