CBD traffic advice: Roads have started closing in the Sydney CBD due to a protest march. The march is due to start before 2:30pm from Town Hall and will travel north along George Street, into King Street, Castlereagh Street, and Market Street before returning to George Street and finishing back at Town Hall by 4pm. Motorists are advised to avoid the area with these roads to close: George Street in both directions between Bathurst Street and King Street. George Street southbound between Bridge Street and King Street. Pitt Street northbound between Park Street and Market Street. Pitt Street southbound between Hunter Street and King Street. Castlereagh Street southbound between King Street and Market Street. King Street eastbound between George Street and Castlereagh Street. Market Street westbound between Castlereagh Street and George Street. Park Street in both directions between York Street and Pitt Street. Druitt Street in both directions between George Street and York Street. Roads are not expected to be reopened until approximately 3:30pm. Heavy traffic is expected and motorists are advised to allow plenty of additional travel time and expect delays. Regular CBD bus services are now diverting from their normal route and will experience delays, so bus passengers should also allow extra travel time. Bus passengers can use their tickets on trains on the City Circle and the T4 Eastern Suburbs Line between Central and Kings Cross between 1pm and 4pm.
