CBFO trained staff now have your back, and your spine, in a MacGyver/Grays Anatomy sort of way. Twelve CBFO staff completed intensive Wilderness First Aid Training recently, joined by 3 Patuxent Research Refuge colleagues, and one of our NGO partner staff from South River Federation. Terrific training by instructor Chris Tate (wfa.net) lead staff through comprehensive patient assessment, triage of life-threatening injuries, and how to best treat and evacuate patients for further medical help while working outdoors in remote or difficult access places. Were thankful to be able to help our co-workers and the public in a time of need.
