CBS12 News :: Last nights crash Two brothers killed while riding their motorcyles on I-95 POMPANO BEACH -- The Florida Highway Patrol has identified two motorcyclists killed in a crash that also involved another vehicle on I-95 in Pompano Beach on Saturday night. The men were also brothers, a relative said Sunday morning. Motorcyclist killed in Deerfield Beach crash was racing another biker, deputies say Kevin Andre Jackson, 54, of Lauderhill, who was riding a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle, died in the 9 p.m. crash. Andrew Levitious Jackson, 50, of Fort Lauderdale, who was riding a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle, also died. Katrina Jackson, their sister, said Sunday morning that Kevin and Andrew were just riding. Normally they just go out for rides, she said. Both had been riding motorcycles for over 20 years. Troopers said Patricia Noel, 44, of Pompano Beach, lost control of her 1997 Honda Accord and that the car veered across the southbound lanes and struck a median wall. Kevin Jackson veered to the left and his bike hit the median. He was thrown from his bike. He was taken to Broward Health North, where he was pronounced dead about 40 minutes after the crash. Andrew Jackson struck the front left side of the Accord and was also thrown from his bike, troopers said. he was pronounced dead at the scene. According to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol, witnesses reported motorcycles traveling at a high rate of speed just before the crash. Investigators are attempting to determine what caused (Noel) to lose control and if the motorcycles are the ones witnesses reported traveling at high speed. Katrina Jackson said that Kevin Jackson had his own tile business, and that Andrew Jackson was a retired U.S. Air Force sergeant. Each man leaves behind two children. The incident was under investigation, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
