CCSVI in Australia - The Ways Ahead. Peter Sullivan and the Australian MS Network of Care continue to work in close relationship with CCSVI Australia to highlight the importance of upholding the values and needs of people who live with Multiple Sclerosis and/or CCSVI. This is an important resource for informing Australias political and medical leaders of the current status of vascular research in MS, and the challenges we seek to overcome with their help. In Australia there are government requirements to involve patients in policy and program development, healthcare design and as teachers and collaborators in education programs (rather than solely as cases to be studied), Patient care experiences are required to be reflected, as an indicator of quality, in healthcare reporting and funding models. Research funding bodies are also required to acknowledge the importance of patient-centred care to the health system by reflecting this in the distribution of funding - how effectively is this happening?
