CDC is working with Colorado Dept of Public Health and Environment and Children’s Hospital Colorado to investigate acute neurologic illness in 9 children. The children have several illness features in common including weakness in their arms and/or legs. Neurologic illness with limb weakness can result from a variety of infectious and noninfectious causes; physicians have not identified a cause for the cluster of illnesses in Colorado.
