CGHS performed their spring musical this last Thursday and Friday. They did a great job. But their fellow students came Friday with the intention of disrupting the performance. They used their cell phones to call the performers, which is bad enough, but their use of cell phones tanked the sound system, making it impossible for the performers to hear the piano. This made it look like the performers failed, when really it was a few of their fellow students. While Im proud of our performers, Im livid at a group of kids with no sense of how hard the the students had worked to put on this show, only how much fun it would be to see if they could wreck havoc. Im truly disappointed in this behavior. It seems that we have lost the ability to enjoy the theatre for its own value. Heartsick, angry, disappointed. Not the way a good show should end.
