CGS Dumaguete, PCGA & BFAR recovers missing fisherman DOTC-PCG: The joint search team of the Coast Guard Station (CGS) Dumaguete, Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary 206th Squadron and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources have recovered body of fisherman that was reported missing since Tuesday by his wife. Based on the Blotters Book of the PNP-Ayungon, Richel Baco, wife of the victim, reported the incident to Glenn Embalsado, chairman of Barangay Calagcalag in Ayungon, Negros Oriental. According to Richel, her husband Daryl, 34, went on a spear gun fishing around 10:00PM last Monday, 15 July, but has failed to return home. Richel reported that her husband was slightly drunk when he left. Immediately upon receipt of information, the personnel of CGS Dumaguete coordinated with the 206th Auxiliary Squadron for the conduct of search and rescue operations. The joint sar operations was conducted with the personnel of BFAR and Ayungon Bantay Dagat using a patrol boat. The team recovered Daryl Baco and immediately rushed him to Bindoy District Hospital in Negros Oriental, but was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Manuel Sy. The cadaver was brought to Wellsta Memorial Homes in Ayungon, Negros Oriental for proper disposition.
