CHARLES MILLER ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT UPDATE (10/23/14, 3:45pm) - Advance construction for the Charles J. Miller Road project is nearly complete! Topsoil re-spread operations and perimeter erosion barrier removal began early this week followed closely by seeding and erosion control blanket. Final inspection is scheduled for early next week and construction vehicles will no longer be entering and exiting the work zone. However, utility companies are scheduled to continue relocating and will be present throughout the winter. Utility pole relocation along south IL 31 has been completed and ComEd crews will begin erecting poles along the south side of Miller Road from IL 31 to the east. Nicor Gas is scheduled to begin relocating underground utilities in the near future. Work zone limits for utility activities include IL 31 (Shamrock Lane to the new McDonalds) and Miller Road/Bull Valley Road (Ridge View to the east project limit near McHenry Ave). Please slow down when driving in the work zone and help keep us all safe. Thank you for your patience.
