CHECK AND MATE For weeks republicans tried to strike a deal with democrats and Obama on the budget, deficit and Obamacare. I will not negotiate came the presidents response. Republicans originally asked to defund Obamacare. I dont think any of us thought it would actually happen but you have to go there and get it on record. You have to publicly make that statement. As conservatives continued to attempt to negotiate, Obama, Reid et al stood firm in their mutual resistance. Republicans finally moved to proposing a one year delay in launching Obamacare for individuals. The president had already issued a one year delay for businesses, why not do it on the individual mandate as well? Take the time to get it right. Change those items buried in the thousands of pages of this unread bill, misunderstood bill, passed bill without one republican vote! Nope! No movement from the left. (Imagine a choir singing Ahhhh... In the background.) And then it happened... The Affordable Healthcare Act (Obamacare) was launched for public consumption and it failed. Over $600 million spent on this butt fart of a program and it fails. Folks cant register. Personal info is being publicly disseminated. Quoted policy prices are higher than expected and misquoted. The computer page directs you to make a call. The call gives a recording to process on line! Its a failure! And I couldnt love it more. Now senate democrats are starting to back away from this disastrous rollout. Now their talking about a delay. Just today the enrollment period was extended by six weeks. Guess what, when we get near there, theyll have to extend it again. Wait! Isnt that what republicans were asking for, a delay? Didnt Obama say no? Harry Reid say no? Democrats say no!? (Muhwaahahaha... Rubbing hands together) This is perfect! This is the Right getting what it wants through the failure of the left. This is better than getting the delay originally bartered for! This is egg on Obamas face and he cant wipe it off! His cornerstone piece of legislation is a complete failure, just as he is. Heading into the 2014 midterm elections, this couldnt happen at a better time. Couldnt happen in a better way! The Right needs to ride this wave everyday! Exploit those on the left that would not negotiate, those who voted for this piece of crap legislation! In the political game of chess, this is check-mate! If we just do it... right.
