CHELAN COUNTY RESIDENTS .... REMINDER ..... HIGH FIRE DANGER FIRE BAN FOR CHELAN COUNTY CHELAN COUNTY RESOLUTION 2014-73 . July 17, 2014 at 11:17am Resolution No. 2014-73 Subject: HIGH FIRE DANGER FIRE BAN FOR CHELAN COUNTY 1. Building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire, briquette fire or stove fire; except pressurized liquid gas stoves (36 DFR 261.52(a)) is hereby prohibited. 2. This ban is in immediate effect in all unincorporated areas of Chelan County. EXCEPTION: This ban does not include barbeques at privately owned residences within the unincorporated areas. 3. Violators are subject to fines and/or imprisonment as stated in the Chelan County Criminal Code or Title 16 SC Section 551. 4. Pursuant to CFR 261.50(e) the following persons are exempt from ths order: ◾Any Federal, State, or local officer or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of an official duty. ◾Persons maintaining a presurized liquid gas stove, enclosed pressurized liquid gas fire, or an enclosed solid fuel fire that utilizes a wick to distribute a flame. ◾Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.
