CHEROKEE TEA PARTY PATRIOTS IN THE WOODSTOCK 4TH OF JULY PARADE JUST EMAIL ME AT [email protected] AND LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE A CONVERTIBLE OR PICK-UP TRUCK YOU WOULD LIKE TO DRIVE IN OUR GROUP’S ENTRY In 2010 when we were less than one month old, we entered the 4th of July Parade -and had the largest entry in the parade, it stretched 150 feet, we led with our banner, followed by a convertible with David and Carolyn Cosby in Colonial dress, around 20 marchers, about a dozen motorcycles, and our pickup truck brought up the rear with both a Gadsden and American flags (see pictures of LAST YEARS PARADE, and yes, that tiny yellow speck in the picture is our Gadsden flag) As soon as our entry would appear, the crowd starting cheering our Tea Party Banner In 2011, we had BY FAR the largest entry in the parade with TWO FLOATS, 8 vehicles, 4 motorcycles and over 70 marchers. Last year (2012) the city limited the number of vehicles per entry, but that did not stop Jenny Beth Martin from joining us and probably the reason we had the largest number of marchers in the parade. Because elected officials are not only in the parade, they take note of the political groups who are there, the larger the entry, the larger the impact we can have throughout the year. We would like to really make a statement about the tea parties here in Cherokee County by joining with the Canton Tea Party with an even bigger entry in this year’s parade. WE WILL HAVE A FLOAT AGAIN THIS YEAR IF YOU WOULD RATHER RIDE-COME ON OUT AND JOIN THE FUN! Getting into the details of The Woodstock 4th of July Parade a. The Woodstock 4th of July Parade will be held on Thursday, July 4th. b. It will start at 10:00, but we need to line up by 9:00AM c. The parade starts at the old Walmart parking lot at 92 and Hwy 5 in Woodstock and ends at the city park. YOU CAN JUST SHOW UP AND JOIN THE FUN! BUT IT WOULD HELP IF YOU WOULD PLEASE EMAIL ME AND LET ME KNOW IF YOU WILL MARCH WITH US, SO WE WILL HAVE SOME IDEA OF WHAT YEARS ENTRY WILL LOOK LIKE. THANKS.
