CHILIFEST in Huntington..... man! That was crowded! But oh boy! the chili was great! We always have one mind numbing observation..... picture hot roads and sidewalk....thousands of people all ages....all the smells, sounds, and activity, ....a band playing loud music...now add many folks who just think it is an AWESOME idea to bring PETS to a crowded food city event.... boo! Those dogs were hot and thirsty, their poor padded feet on the city streets, the chaos of it all making them nervous, getting bumped into or stepped on, and little screaming babies right at their levels....no muzzles on the dogs for safety as kids grabbed at "DOGGIES!" .... why would you subject the pet you Love to such stressful environments? Newsflash: they are not enjoying it. Please think about your pets benefit before you drag it out and parade it around. And if you love people...think about the Humans whose days You ruined because they are highly ALLERGIC to dog / cat hair, who pay to enjoy the events too. There is my rant. Be considerate of all in PUBLIC spaces.....
