CHOP-pedia : The Typical BASQUE JAZZ AUDIENCE-¨No applause, No smiling, No crowd participation, and MAYBE some head bops and feet tapping..but nada mas¨.....JUST LISTENING!..Seriously LISTENING!. (makes me step my game up..cause you can see the intense ears dissecting every note that we play. GIMMICKS, cool horn tricks, fancy horn lines, and LOOKING COOL..are not what get you progress in the music scene here! ) I have learned to appreciate and respect the way most folks here in Bilbao conduct themselves at Jazz gigs. But don´t get it confused...after the last note...DRINKS, FOOD GALORE, PROPS, and excellent conversations blossom! HUMBLED by the Love and support here :)
