CHS would like to thank members of the public for their continued support in the ongoing investigation of the mass seizure of 33 dogs last week. As you can appreciate this is a very large case and we are doing everything we can to ensure decisions are made in the best interest of each animal. The animals condition on intake and subsequent recovery are a part of the ongoing investigation and we are not able to rush because of members of the public are claiming various degrees of ownership rights. Currently we are reviewing contracts to establish CHS’ legal obligations, because the dogs were seized and relinquished to CHS they are currently our responsibility. In the event these dogs are returned, they will be released unaltered. Owners will be subject to tariffs for transport, necessary medical treatment and boarding during aforementioned treatment.
