CHURCH OUTSIDE-THE-BOX Questions How do we show our appreciation for the grace and gifts God has given us? How do we remain open to the call and leadership of the Holy Spirit? How do we engage our congregations? What are our actions when we welcome visitors? Why are we so afraid to speak to strangers and talk about our faith? How do we learn to embrace differences while maintaining our own identity and integrity? What is the intent of being outside the box? To fix it? To bring people into it? Or something else? How can our structures serve mission? When was the last time you considered the Sermon on the Mount seriously? How do we be wise as serpents and guileless as doves? How do you see yourself as a disciple of Christ? How does the Church come together to build community in deeply connected relationships? Who are we to judge? What is it in the worship service that makes you want to share your faith story and who do you share it with? What do we want to hear from the pulpit? How will we respond to “doing church” without a building? How do we treat pitfalls along the journey? Are we open to the Spirit, even when she takes us out of our comfort zone? Are we willing to be uncomfortable? Are we in conflict within our community? How important is comfort, security, and control? How can be better talk to and listen to one another?
