CJ RANT: #LinkedIn I just got another serious job offer on LinkedIn from the headquarters of the Zales Corporation to be their Lead Marketing Analyst and Social Media Director. I could see myself selling diamonds; however, I am only open to consulting, not taking a position with a company. That being said: If you do not have an online presence on LinkedIn you are seriously doing yourself a massive disservice. I met a woman at the nail salon and of course we started talking social media. She knew nothing about LinkedIn but randomly decided to take initiative to make herself a profile (totally FREE by the way... hello people!!) and out of nowhere got a job offer from another company which included a salary $20,000 higher than she had been earning at her current job. I am in no way shape or form telling you to go get a job. Im simply telling you that no one can hire you or give you work if they cant FIND you. Companies everywhere are looking for talented people. Dont be complacent. Dont be afraid. Learning technology is EASY. These platforms are FREE. I beg you, please educate yourself, please take advantage of the resources available to you. What you seek is seeking you, if only youll give it your TIME. I am not paid to endorse LinkedIn.
