~CLARIFICATION OF VIDEO SHARED~ Folks especially the 4WD DRIVERS out there; I know what you are saying to a point regarding the VIDEO we shared and have read through the comments. HSC is a storm chasing site; we provide weather information to our best ability however at the same time we are very passionate about the COMMUNITY SAFETY. I think at times we need to know our Abilities and Limitations so to speak. For example chasing storms can be dangerous as well hence need to be aware of our abilities and certainly mindful of the dangers that goes with it. Now if I see for example a ROAD CLOSED sign and regardless what vehicle Im in; I will not attempt to cross it myself regardless what vehicle Im in; by the way this has been confirmed the VIDEO we shared. Queensland Police Service are cracking down these types of behaviour where drivers ignoring signs like ROAD CLOSED. QPS classed this type of behaviour as Dangerous Driving and you can be fined for this; yes rules are rules I suppose its part of living whether we like it or not. The main point of the VIDEO we shared is that it is frustrating to see drivers ignoring these types of signs. There is no hard feelings against 4WD drivers OK as HSC has shared fair bit of these pictures like the VIDEO in the past especially vehicles that are non 4WD. HSC have great contacts with SES, Queensland Emergency Services, Queensland Police Service and others hence we have seen so many unfortunate incidents over the years and yes regardless what type of vehicle they were in whether it is 2WD or 4WD. The point HSC was trying to make; there was a ROAD CLOSED sign and the driver did proceed through it; this has been confirmed OK. I suppose there are RULES we need to adhere whether we like it or not. Having saying that I fully agree that yes 4WD are capable crossing waters like these and certainly you see it rural areas or up the CAPE etc. We are a very lucky to live in this country to experience these types of Adventures including our great weather we see and experience in AUSTRALIA. Finally on behalf HSC we wish all our great followers a safe and happy AUSTRALIA DAY LONG WEEKEND and ENJOY :) EDIT: FOLLOWERS please keep the comments reasonable and civil; HSC is pretty fair in this area; yes we cop it at times but please be mindful of that OK :) ~Tony~
