CLERK TYPIST II– City of Long Beach $15.184 to - $20.595 per hour (part-time no benefits) The City of Long Beach Civil Service Department has openings for three part-time, non-career Clerk Typists. These positions will serve the Public Service Counter. Under supervision, Clerk Typists will perform a wide variety of general office/clerical tasks. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Excellent customer service skills - Excellent oral communication skills -Proficient in Word 2013 and Excel 2013 - Ability to file alphabetically and numerically; perform simple mathematical calculations; correct errors in grammar, spelling and punctuation; deal courteously with the public both in person and on the telephone; and maintain confidentiality. -Ability to type accurately on a personal computer at a minimum net speed of 30 wpm.
