CLOSING IT DOWN As this year comes to its end, I cant say that it was a good one (for me). My Moms deterioation of her (mental) health is a sad thing to see (and an even more difficult thing to deal with). From a grand lady - intelligent, witty, strong-willed, vibrant to not even a shadow of her former self. On a personal front; a longstanding friendship (going back to high school) may be at an end - we (at one time) were like brothers. Now for reasons I dont quite understand and attempts to process whatever happened have (apparently) failed. Relationship-wise; using U.S. sports professional basketball analogy - I went from being a starter on the front line (to the 12th man off the bench. Now, I guess I can say that Ive been cut from the team/given my unconditional release . I wont delve into the well known and much discussed racial/social unrest in the area(s) not too far away from my location. Needless to say - like many others, Im saddened and angry. Im not really big on the New Years Resolutions/goals thing - I am just going work on being a better person (in all aspects of my life). If I can do this, then I can accomplish some positive things & be more helpful to others. I wish all of you the very best days ahead in the upcoming new year - peace & all good things in 2015.Ill touch bases with you then.
