COMEDY AND HOW IT HAS CHANGED SINCE 1969 I just wanted to post three very short little videos, one is 6 minutes long, one is 2 minutes, and the third is 6 minutes. I was looking up some things about Politics and came across the Smothers Brothers Show on YouTube back around 1969, and I remembered watching this Show when I was about 12 years old or so. What strikes me is the way that Comedy has changed over the years so drastically. The first one is a musical schtick where they end up doing dueling banjoes. It was just so innocent, as compared to todays television Shows. Tom and Dick Smothers always played these parts where Dick was the older one who acted superior to Tommy, and Tommy always played the part of being slow or kind of dumb. And then in the second video below that one will be Pat Paulson, playing the part of a Politician, advocating Gun Rights. I remember how Pat would always do these little parts where he would slur his words together, like Politicians do, so that they can make it seem as if they are saying something really important, but you never really actually knew what they just said. The Smothers Brothers Show was very controversial for their time. In the third video, the things that they were saying about My Old Man was actually considered to be risque for their time. And I can see how television has been used to slowly change the thinking of America. Today, people will hardly even bother to watch television, unless it has immorality, cursing and what-not on it. Anyway, I just wanted to show the difference between when I was growing up and only 12 years old... and the way that it has changed so much. You really cannot understand just how bad it is now, unless you realize how it started out back then... I am writing s book about the various ways that Satan has changed the world little by little, throughout the centuries into what it is today, religiously and otherwise... history always interests me.
