COMMUNION, BAPTISM - NO CONDITION TO BELIEVERS I have been in - TopicsExpress

COMMUNION, BAPTISM - NO CONDITION TO BELIEVERS I have been in a church were they would baptize an infant, but they will not allow infants to receive their communion: According to them, their infants are worthy to be baptized, but are not worthy to be part of the communion unless they pass through a class and able to answer some questions pertaining to the churchs doctrines before they qualify to receive the first holy communion. During his or her first Holy Communion, that child must put on white and nickname himself or herself by another name of a saint - called adopted name; and he or she will have a godfather or godmother that will stand behind him or her to receive the communion, just as during that childs baptism, he also adopt baptismal name of a saint and a godfather. I ask, why should a child adopt the name of a saint before he or she qualifies for either baptism or partaking of holy communion besides having a godfather or godmother? You who is partaking of Holy Communion in that church, what was the name of the saint you bore when you first partook of their communion? And as long as you partake of that communion, the name of that saint is glorified in you because they only gave that communion on the foundation that you bore the name of that saint instead of your first name or the name of Jesus. Well I am particular about why should that church place a condition of class training before a child becomes worthy to partake of their communion, but there was no such condition before the child was baptized? Between baptism and Holy Communion, which is greater? If a man can partake in one without conditions, why cant he partake in the other without conditions? Then I went to another church that referred to themselves as Bible Church: There I found out that they do the opposite of what the previous church did, in that, they do not place conditions for their children to partake of their communion, but they place conditions for partaking in their baptism - those conditions include what they term as baptismal class or class people must pass through before they are baptized. I am now disappointed in that so-called bible church because they asked men to fill a form in which they ask them are they born again? are they sanctified? Are they members of that church? Etc. Now I tell those of you who listens to me, let no man of God or church induce you into any form of baptism class before you should be baptized into Christ or induce you into any class before you partake of the communion: Those classes are not induced by Christ, but by that denomination which is seeking to add you into their membership list or be sure you are their member before granting you that chance of participating in either the communion or baptism. 1. The only condition to be baptized in Christ is to believe in Christ (Mark 16:16); you do not have to be through a class or be sanctified before you can be baptized in Christ Jesus, you dont even need to be born again before you are baptized, you only need to believe in Jesus Christ to be worthy of his baptism: As it is written, and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what prevents me from being baptized? And Philip said, If you believe with all thine heart, you may. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. Acts 8:36-38. It is those who believe and are baptized that shall be saved, not those who are saved that are to be baptised through baptismal classes. (Mark 16:16) 2. The only condition to partaking in the Lords communion is to believe and discern the Lords body (1 Corinthians 11:28-31): Everyone can partake of the Lords communion whether sinner or not, for it is cup for the remission of sin, showing that Christ died for sinners. It is not about whom should partake, but rather how to partake: It is let everyman examine himself, not examine man during communion; and it is let everyman judge himself and he will not be judged, not let everyman judge another (1 Corinthians 11:28-31). I present to you this day that whoever is worthy of the Lords communion is also worthy of the Lords baptism, and whoever is worthy of the Lords baptism is also worthy of the Lord s communion: The Lords baptism shows the Lords death and his resurrection, while the Lords communion shows the Lords death till he comes.
