COMMUNISM I never said anything about wanting or liking communism. (In fact, I hate it. It is an authoritarian mess, much like todays American corporate-run state.) I was quoting Lenin because the statement highlights that capitalist economies WILL DO ANYTHING FOR MONEY, including murdering civilians, displacing cultures, and completely destroying the planets ecosystem. The view of capitalist economies is short term, narrow, and human chauvinistic, focused on next quarters stock prices, profits, and corporate growth. If, as a human, you get in the way of that, you will be fired if you work there, or killed or swept aside if you dont. Stop already with the bullshit about wanting communism. Its clear that unchecked capitalist economies will rape every resource in sight if not constrained by some sort of intelligent governmental authority. (And yes, I know intelligent governmental authority is an oxymoron.) Some of the Scandinavian countries have done a pretty good job of it. mamie van doren.
