COMPLAINTS by Severn Trent Water customers have fallen in the past year. The latest report on national water customer complaints by watchdog the Consumer Council for Water show figures fell by 13.8 per cent in the past year. Customers made 17,854 complaints against Severn Trent. Simon Mullan, customer relations manager for Severn Trent Water, said: “We’re pleased that complaints continue to fall, however, we will not cease in our efforts to continually drive down complaints by working with customers and listening to what they want from us. "Any time a customer has to contact us because something has gone wrong it’s disappointing. We take each complaint very seriously and are working to respond to our customers’ priorities." Severn Trent Water is the UK’s second biggest water company. It serves more than 4.2 million homes and business customers in England and Wales. The company delivers almost two billion litres of water every day through 46,000km of pipes. A further 91,000km of sewer pipes take waste water away to more than 1,000 sewage treatment works.
