COOK plus Receptionist/Housekeeper couple required at Tourist Bush Resort Qld An exciting cook position is available at one of Australia’s leading remote Holiday Bush Resorts situated at an iconic tourist destination in Carnarvon Gorge Qld. A position exists for a couple to fill the roles of full time cook plus Receptionist/ housekeeper in a leading tourism caravan park in Queensland. This would be suitable for a recently qualified cook with around 1-2 years experience who is interested in gaining experience and responsible to efficiently run a small bistro kitchen and inspirational enough to deliver a unique bush camp experience for our guests. A role also exists for a Receptionist/ Housekeeper person to complete the couple. We are looking for an inspired Cook that can work as team player, organized, and a self-starter who can manage the complete workings of our small bistro kitchen and dining area. Plus a similarly team person that has good presentation and customer skills to carry out the duties of Receptionist, housekeeping and kitchen support. These roles are full time with commencement immediately. Employment would be until end of season October, 2013. The successful applicant for the cook’s role will be competent in the following areas: • Meeting and exceeding the customers expectation on food and quality • Developing catering opportunities • Food handling, storage and preparation • Menu costing • Stock ordering • Working to a budget • Organized and time efficient • Safe food handling procedures (FSS preferred) • Cleaning and maintaining kitchen facilities The role encompasses the preparation, cooking and serving of 5 spit roast dinners each week with occasional alternative group meal preparation (BBQ’s, Campfire cooking demonstrations, Bush Tucker etc). The Reception and Housekeeping role will encompass • Customer bookings, retail sales and customer relations • Assisting in all aspects of the office and retail shop sales.
