CORE-lation Challenge Day 5: Weights Continue to mix up your routine to get maximum results. Sometimes its good to push your moves a little faster working on speed, but sometimes its better to increase the weight and slow it down. Heres my top 4 favorite weight excersizes :) *squat to raise- get low on the squats like your trying to touch the weight to the floor, keep your back straight..then lift straight up and use the momentum to lift the weights to shoulder level. If this is too easy, increase the weights (21dayfix) *side lunge- when moving to the side, its important you keep good form, you want to go low but dont sacrifice knee stability for it. Frame your knee with the weights. Your legs are atrong, use heavy weights for this one. (21dayfix) *twist and punch- this will work your core, shoulders, arms...keep your core tight and turn with controlled movement. (21dayfix) *pull- instead of pulling at your side using triceps, lift your arms up and out. By squeezing your shoulder blades together, you are working mid back instead of upper. Mix it up! :) Remember with weights you are not trying to do these as fast as you can but instead use heavier weights with less reps. Today is controlled movements. We will get to higher repped movements later! :) PS - I know the music was a little long but I just wanted to listen to it lol
